Giant UNO is a larger-than-life version of the classic UNO card game, played with oversized cards. The rules are similar to the traditional game, but with some adjustments to accommodate the larger cards and the potentially larger playing area.
Objective
The objective of the game is to be the first player to score 500 points by getting rid of all your cards and accumulating points based on the cards remaining in your opponents' hands.
Setup
Deck: Giant UNO uses the same deck as traditional UNO but with larger cards. The deck includes:
Number Cards: 0-9 in four colors (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue)
Action Cards: Skip, Reverse, Draw Two (2 of each color)
Wild Cards: Wild, Wild Draw Four (it features a customizable wild card and you can write any rule you want!)
Players: The game can be played with 2-10 players.
Deal Cards:
Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
Deal 7 cards to each player.
Place the remaining deck face down in the center as the draw pile.
Flip over the top card of the draw pile to start the discard pile.
Gameplay
Starting the Game:
The player to the left of the dealer goes first.
Players take turns in clockwise order.
Playing a Card:
On your turn, play a card from your hand that matches the color or number of the top card of the discard pile, or play a Wild card.
If you cannot play a card, draw one card from the draw pile. If the drawn card can be played, you may play it immediately; otherwise, your turn ends.
Action Cards:
Skip: The next player is skipped.
Reverse: Reverses the direction of play.
Draw Two: The next player draws two cards and loses their turn.
Wild: Change the current color to any color of your choice.
Wild Draw Four: Change the current color and force the next player to draw four cards and lose their turn. The next player may challenge the use of this card if they believe it was played illegally (if the player could have played another card instead).
UNO Call:
When you have only one card left, you must call "UNO" before your turn ends.
If another player catches you not calling "UNO" before your next turn starts, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
Winning a Round:
The round ends when a player plays all their cards.
Points are scored based on the cards remaining in opponents' hands:
Number Cards: Face value (0-9)
Skip, Reverse, Draw Two: 20 points each
Wild, Wild Draw Four: 50 points each
Winning the Game:
The game is typically played to 500 points, but players can adjust the target score for shorter or longer games.
