Official UNO Flip Attack Rules
UNO Flip Attack is an exciting variant of the classic UNO card game, combining the elements of UNO Flip and UNO Attack. In this game, players not only flip their cards to a different set of rules but also use the attack feature to add unpredictability. Below are the rules for playing UNO Flip Attack.
Objective
The objective of UNO Flip Attack is to be the first player to score 500 points. Points are scored by being the first to play all of your cards in each round and accumulating points from the cards remaining in your opponents' hands.
Setup
Shuffle: Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
Deal: Deal 7 cards to each player. Place the rest of the deck in the launcher as the draw pile.
Top Card: Turn over the top card of the draw pile to start the discard pile. If the card is a special card, apply its effect immediately (skip, reverse, draw one, etc.).
Card Types:
Number Cards: 0-9 in four colors (Light and Dark Sides).
Special Cards (Light Side):Skip: Next player misses their turn.
Reverse: Reverses the direction of play.
Draw One: Next player draws one card.
Wild: Choose any color to continue play.
Wild Draw Two: Choose a color and the next player draws two cards.
Special Cards (Dark Side):Skip Everyone: All players except the one who played it skip their turn.
Reverse: Same as Light Side but in Dark Side play.
Draw Five: Next player draws five cards.
Wild: Same as Light Side but in Dark Side play.
Wild Draw Color: Choose a color and the next player draws until they get that color.
Gameplay
Starting Play: The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.
Playing Cards:
Match a card from your hand to the top card of the discard pile by number, color, or symbol.
If you can't match a card, draw a card from the draw pile. If you can play the drawn card, do so immediately; otherwise, keep it.
You may play special cards to alter gameplay.
Using the UNO Attack Launcher:
When a player draws a card or is affected by a special card requiring them to draw, they must press the launcher button.
The launcher may shoot out a random number of cards (from 0 to 5) or none at all.
Flipping the Deck:
If a Flip card is played, all players must flip their hands and the discard pile to the opposite side (Light to Dark or vice versa).
Calling UNO: When you have one card left, you must shout "UNO." If another player catches you not saying "UNO" before your next turn, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
Scoring
When a player goes out, the round ends, and they score points based on the cards left in their opponents' hands.
Points Values:
Number cards: Face value
Skip, Reverse, Draw One, Skip Everyone, Reverse (Dark Side), Draw Five: 20 points
Wild, Wild Draw Two, Wild Draw Color: 50 points
Keep a cumulative score. The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.
Notes/Variations
Use Special Cards Wisely: Save powerful cards like Wild Draw Two or Draw Five for strategic moments.
Pay Attention to the Flip Card: Switching sides can disrupt your opponents' plans.
UNO Call: Always remember to call "UNO" when down to one card to avoid penalties.
Short Game: Play to a lower point total, such as 200 or 300 points, for a quicker game.
No Flip: Play without the flip cards for a more straightforward game.
