Official 800 Pound Gorilla Rules
800 Pound Gorilla is a family-friendly card game that combines speed, observation, and a bit of luck. Here's how to play:
Objective
The objective of 800 Pound Gorilla is to outwit your opponents by playing the highest cards in each round while avoiding being the last player to be able to play a card. The game is fast-paced, strategic, and involves elements of bluffing.
Setup
1. Place the spinner in the center of the table.
2. Arrange the gorilla cards in a circle face down around the spinner.
3. Place the banana and coconut tokens in the center, near the spinner.
Gameplay
Players take turns spinning the spinner.
If the spinner lands on a gorilla:
Players quickly flip over a gorilla card and attempt to find the gorilla that matches the size indicated on the spinner (smallest, medium, or largest).
The player with the correct gorilla wins two banana points, and the player with the second-closest gorilla wins one banana point.
If the spinner lands on a banana or coconut:
Players must quickly complete the action or phrase indicated on the top card of the banana or coconut pile.
The first player to successfully complete the action or say the phrase grabs a coconut.
Each coconut earned equals one banana point.
Winning the Game
The player with the most banana points at the end of the game wins!
