Gameplay:
The game is played over a series of rounds, with each round consisting of the following phases:
Phase 1: Action Phase:
Each player takes turns performing actions in the following order:
Move: Move your Viking ship to a new location on the board. Locations include coastal areas, villages, and raiding targets.
Raid: If you are in a raiding location, you can attempt a raid by using your Viking crew and resources. Roll dice to determine the success of the raid and collect rewards if successful.
Explore: If you are in an exploration location, you can draw Exploration tiles to gain resources, discover new locations, or face challenges.
Trade: Trade resources with other players or with the market. Trading can help you acquire the resources needed for raiding or building.
Phase 2: Viking Crew Actions:
Players can use their Viking Crew Cards to perform special actions or gain bonuses. Each crew member has unique abilities that can be activated during this phase.
Phase 3: Resource Management:
Players manage their resources and may choose to spend them to build structures, upgrade their ship, or recruit additional crew members.
Phase 4: End of Round:
At the end of each round, refresh any used resources, draw new Raid or Exploration tiles as needed, and prepare for the next round.
Scoring:
Raids: Earn victory points based on the success of your raids and the amount of loot collected.
Exploration: Gain points for discovering new locations and uncovering valuable resources.
Building and Upgrading: Points are awarded for building structures, upgrading your ship, and expanding your Viking crew.
Winning:
The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds or when specific conditions are met (e.g., all raid tiles are used).
The player with the highest total victory points, combining points from raids, exploration, and other achievements, wins the game.
