Objective:
The objective remains the same as in the base game of Parks: to collect the most points by visiting national parks, collecting resources, and completing year cards. The Nightfall expansion introduces new trails, parks, and gameplay elements that enrich this journey.

Setup
Prepare the Base Game:
Set up the base game of Parks as usual.
Add New Components:
Shuffle the new park cards into the park deck.
Shuffle the new gear cards into the gear deck.
Shuffle the new canteens into the canteen deck.
Shuffle the new season cards into the season deck.
Shuffle the new year cards into the year deck.
Add the new trail sites to the trail deck, then shuffle and set up the trail as usual.
Trailhead Tile:
Place the new trailhead tile at the beginning of the trail.
Park Ranger Token:
Place the Park Ranger token on the new trailhead tile.
Gameplay
The gameplay follows the base game rules with the following additions and modifications:
New Trail Sites:
When setting up the trail, include the new trail sites. These sites offer unique actions and opportunities for players.
Park Ranger:
The Park Ranger token moves to a new trail site each season. The first player to visit the trail site with the Park Ranger token each season receives a bonus.
New Park Cards:
New park cards offer different resource costs and rewards. Some may have unique abilities or end-game scoring opportunities.
New Canteens:
New canteen cards provide different benefits when used. Players can fill canteens with water to gain additional actions or resources.
New Gear Cards:
New gear cards add variety to the gear market, offering more strategic options for players to enhance their abilities.
New Season and Year Cards:
New season cards introduce different effects and challenges each season. New year cards provide additional goals for players to achieve throughout the game.
New Trail Sites Details
Example Trail Sites:
Stargazing Point: Gain a star token, which can be used as a wild resource.
Nightfall Camp: Trade a resource for a wild token.
Forest Clearing: Draw two canteen cards and keep one.
Mountain Pass: Move to any unoccupied trail site and perform its action.
Strategy Tips
Leverage New Trail Sites: Utilize the unique actions of the new trail sites to gain advantages over your opponents.
Park Ranger Bonus: Aim to be the first to reach the Park Ranger each season to gain the bonus.
Optimize Canteen Use: Use the new canteens strategically to maximize their benefits.
Adapt to New Seasons: Pay attention to the new season effects and adjust your strategy accordingly.
End of Game
The end of the game is triggered in the same way as the base game. Once the fourth season ends, players proceed to final scoring. The player with the most points from parks, photos, personal goals, and bonuses wins the game.
